Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All settings are under Addons > Phox WHMCS Templates > Extensions > Email Template > Manage<\/strong>. The page has five tabs: Templates<\/strong>, Predefined Messages<\/strong>, Email Types<\/strong>, Settings<\/strong> and Information<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Templates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Templates tab sets the default look of the emails your clients receive. There are 20 templates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Editorial, Capped, Banner, Spotlight, Centered, Soft, Midnight, Bold, Corporate, Stacked, Headline, Aurora, Receipt, Blocks, Showcase, Masthead, Gazette, Bulletin, Arch and Label.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every template supports light and dark mode, and LTR and RTL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preview a Template<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Click a template to open its preview. Three switches change what you see:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Appearance:<\/strong> Light or Dark<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Direction:<\/strong> LTR or RTL<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Width:<\/strong> Desktop or Mobile<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    These switches change the preview only, not your emails. Each client’s email app shows light or dark by its own setting, and right-to-left is used for right-to-left languages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The preview uses a sample message. It shows how your emails look with your logo, colors and footer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Send a Test Email<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    In the preview, click Send test email<\/strong>. The test is sent to your own admin email address, in the system language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Activate a Template<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    In the preview, click Activate<\/strong>. The template is marked Active<\/strong> and becomes the default for every email type that has no template of its own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Predefined Messages<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Predefined messages are ready-made message bodies for WHMCS emails. The tab shows each one inside your active template, the way clients receive it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Preview a Message<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Click a message to preview it. The preview has the same Appearance, Direction and Width switches, plus a template list so you can see the message in another template. Choosing another template here does not activate it. Sample values are shown in place of the client’s details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Apply a Message<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    1. Open the Predefined Messages<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Find the message and click Apply<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Apply replaces the body of the matching WHMCS email. The subject stays the same. The message status changes from Not applied<\/strong> to applied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Restore the Previous Message<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The previous body is backed up when you apply a message. You can restore it from the same tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Note:<\/strong> The Hosting Welcome message is built for the WHMCS Hosting Account Welcome Email with a cPanel control panel link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Email Types<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      The Email Types tab lets you use a different template for each kind of WHMCS email. A type with no choice uses the default, the template active on the Templates tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      There are nine email types: Affiliate, Domain, General, Invite, Invoice, Notification, Product\/Service, Support and User.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The table shows the template, style and status of each type:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      • Default:<\/strong> the type follows the active template.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Custom:<\/strong> the type has its own template.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Use the search box and the status filter to find a type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Assign a Template to an Email Type<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        1. Open the Email Types<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Click Manage<\/strong> next to the email type.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Select a template. Click Preview<\/strong> to check it first.\"\"<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          To go back to the default template, open Manage<\/strong> again and click Use default<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          The Settings tab has four sections: General, Social Links, Footer and Translations. Click Save Changes<\/strong> after editing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          General<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
            \n
          • Header text:<\/strong> A line of text shown above the email content, next to the logo. Leave it empty to hide it. Plain text only.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Header link:<\/strong> The words of the link in the header, for example “View in browser”, and the address it opens. Leave the link text empty to hide the link.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Show domain link:<\/strong> Shows a link to your website address in the footer of every email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            Social Links<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            Turn a network on and enter the address of your page. Only turned-on networks appear in the footer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Supported networks: Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, Telegram and Discord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Enter the full address, starting with https:\/\/<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Footer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

            • Copyright:<\/strong> The copyright text in the footer of every email. Use {$dateYear}<\/code> for the current year and {$companyName}<\/code> for your company name. Example: \u00a9 {$dateYear} {$companyName}. All rights reserved.<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Footer links:<\/strong> Each link has a name and an address. Click Add link<\/strong> to add one and Remove link<\/strong> to delete it. Enter the full address, starting with https:\/\/<\/code>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              Translations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

              This section lists every text your clients see in their own language: header text, header link text, copyright and footer link names.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              1. Type the English text in the field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              2. Click Translate<\/strong> next to the field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              3. Enter the text for each language. Leave a language empty to use the English text.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              4. Click Apply<\/strong>, then Save changes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                The number on the Translate button shows how many languages are translated. Click Reset<\/strong> to restore a field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                The same Translate<\/strong> button is also next to each field in General and Footer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Each client receives emails in the language of their account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Logo and Colors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                The emails use the logo uploaded in Phox WHMCS Templates > Branding<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Banners, buttons, links, and accent colors follow your Phox Style Manager color scheme, so no code changes are needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                What Clients See<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                • Light and dark mode:<\/strong> Emails follow the setting of the client’s email app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • RTL:<\/strong> Emails switch to right-to-left automatically for languages such as Arabic, Hebrew, and Farsi.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Mobile:<\/strong> Layouts adapt from desktop to mobile.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                  Important Notes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                  • Previews use sample content. Activating a template changes the design around your emails, not the text of your WHMCS emails. Only Apply<\/strong> on a predefined message changes an email’s text.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  • An empty header text or link text hides that element.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
